Antique Shirley Temple Toys
Shirley Temple was a young American actress that won the hearts of many in the 1930's. Born in 1928, it didn't take this young star long to get onto the silver screen in 1934, playing in Stand Up and Cheer as well as Bright Eyes. Shirley Jane Temple was born in Santa Monica, California and soon became the top grossing movie star during the Great Depression. Even during these difficult financial times, people just couldn't get enough of this cute little girl.
Shirley Temple excelled at dancing and was often given roles that required extensive choreography experience, but she was up for the task. With the help of an African-American dance coach, which was controversial at the time, Shirley Temple was able to learn very complex dance steps and sing at the same time. Shirley Temple starred in a number of films as a child including: Dimples, Curly Top, Our Little Girl, Wee Willie Winkie, Heidi, The Little Princess and Poor Little Rich Girl to name just a few. In total she starred in over 60 films.
